Responsible for restaurant and corporate accounting including monthly close procedures, account reconciliations, tax filings, license renewals, treasury accounting, and other daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial report reviews, reconciliations, and enter journal entries
- File sales tax returns and real estate property tax
- Submit sales figures, analyze and remit royalties & advertising payments each period
- Review daily bank activity
- Reconcile and post entries for bank activity at period end
- Ensure proper recording of intercompany transactions
- Complete business property tax declarations and renditions
- Enter and reconcile capital expenditures
- Period end closing journal entries and reconciliations
- Provide audit support (preparation, reconciliations, research) for yearend financial statement audit
- Manage landlord relationships and ensure proper payment of monthly rents; reconcile CAM and percentage rents
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or related field
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Positives but not required:
- High transaction volume environments
- Multi-unit environments
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar accounting software
- Experience aggregating data from disparate sources (business intelligence systems, bank and vendor sites)
