Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain accurate client medical records
- Access client electronic personal health information from server, print and file in client medical records chart
- Respond to requests for medical records from internal and external sources according to Pate policy, HIPAA, and state law, including preparation and submission of invoices for copying of records
- Maintain security and privacy of medical records storage areas
- Monitor and document the client/family follow-up system
- Maintain and destroy medical records according to retention schedule and Pate policy
- Maintain a working knowledge of HIPAA and other laws regarding confidentiality, including Pate policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Must pass all pre-employment and employment verifications
