Central Indiana Advertising Director

We are looking for a Regional Advertising Director in Central Indiana. Our sales team consists of 8-10 sales professionals at separate locations. Hiring, training and planning are essential requirements for this position. We need a leader who can sell and up-sell current customers as they continue to train our team. This is an “in the car,” making sales calls with the sales reps position.

Your work will be essential to preserve customer satisfaction throughout all our markets. We grow local businesses with our media tools. The ideal candidate will be a good listener with a customer orientated approach.

Candidate must be very organized. Follow through is the most important key to success. We under promise and over deliver. There are many balls to keep in the air and multi-tasking is a must. Media sales experience is beneficial, but sales experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Hiring and training sales staff
• Keeping the sales team on track to make goals each month
• Creating promotions, packages and contests to help the sales team make goal
• Learn our markets and focus on growing our revenue in each market
• Learn about the clients’ industry and business activities to suggest more personalized solutions
• Attending all major account meetings with the sales team to increase contract sales
• Liaise with the sales team and clients to organize promotional events and decide on advertising material that suit their profiles and goals
• Design creative campaigns or other projects according to the standards discussed with clients
• Employ networking techniques to attract new clients
• Attending community events in our markets
• Work with each sales rep to grow their account lists and increase revenue.
• This position works directly for the Publisher and is a valuable member of the executive team.

We offer a full range of benefits. Some office time is required; however, this position is required to be out of the office to see clients with the sales team on a daily basis.

This position requires a valid drivers’ license. EOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
