Compensation (Pay): $30.84 to $44.72 based on experience.

Job Overview:
The Psychiatric Nurse functions as a liaison between the patient and members of the Care Team in a joint effort to optimize the patients’ mental health status and quality of life.
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse will apply professional nursing care principles and procedures in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric patients. Develop interpersonal therapeutic relationships with psychiatric patients, while following the guidelines set forth by the Colorado Nurse Practice Act.

Education/Experience:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required; BSN preferred. Possession of a valid and current Registered Nurse license issued by Colorado Board of Registered Nursing.
Work Experience: Three years’ experience in psychiatric nursing preferred or three years general nursing preferred with 1 year of psychiatry required.
Certificates and Licenses: Current Colorado RN License, Current CPR (BCLS) certification.

Physical Demands:
Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Able to travel from clinic to clinic as required and make home visits as needed. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
