This position will be housed at our Corporate Campus in Baton Rouge. We are looking for a driven and energetic individual with a heart for service! The HR Generalist will partner with the AVP of Human Resources in development, implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the business and operational objectives. This role will be responsible for a broad array of HR Generalist activities including but not limited to: internal and external audits related to Human Resources, performance management and evaluations, providing guidance with employee personnel matters including disciplinary action, conducting new hire orientation, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to employment, overseeing worker’s compensation claims and unemployment claims, etc.
All candidates who wish to be considered must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or another business-related field of study and at least 3 years of direct experience in Human Resources to include employment laws/regulations, employee relations, payroll, benefits, disciplinary action, etc. Additional experience and/or achievement of a formal certification recognized by SHRM and/or HRCI may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must along with a high degree of comfort navigating ambiguous situations while quickly shifting focus due to priority changes. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
