Penn Carrus Hiring for HR Business Partner at Remote Full Time

The HRBP at Penn Foster Carrus is charged with serving as a business partner to senior operating management in finding and nurturing our talent, championing our culture, and creating a positive work environment for our employees. The HRBP demonstrates knowledge of his/her client’s business so they can be an integral part of supporting our operators in meeting their daily demands. The HRBP uses their HR expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to guide their work and foster the transformation of our business.

A Day in the Life

• Demonstrate accountability and knowledge in all Human Resource areas including recruiting, compliance, staffing, employee relations, culture development, and performance management. Support members of management in each of these areas on a regular basis.
• Assist with recruiting needs around the Tech space as needed
• Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to promote the employment brand and fill critical open positions promptly and effectively. Ensure EEO compliance.
• Maintain a high level of contact and visibility with employees at all levels to foster respectful, trusting and credible relationships.
• Partner with HR Leadership to enhance management and leadership capabilities and implement change, development, and culture initiatives.
• Communicate all HR programs and organization policies effectively.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Conduct team member exit interviews as needed.
• Partner with HR Shared Services team on all team member transactions including new hire paperwork, status changes, benefits enrollment and compensation changes and leaves of absences.

What you’ll need

• Strong working knowledge of HRIS, time & attendance systems. Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred
• Solid HR generalist background including broad understanding of compensation, benefits, employee relations, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, employer branding, staffing, talent acquisition, and workforce planning,
• Strong knowledge of HR related legal requirements to minimize legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Must be able to prioritize when presented with a long list of ‘top priority’ situations.
• Must possess a solid understanding of company HR policies and procedures.
• Strong negotiations skills
• Strong PC skills including MS Office applications.
• Must have incredible attention to detail
• Excellent customer service orientation using a consultative approach.
• Be highly organized, and possess exceptional planning and time management skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in Human Resources, a plus) required
• PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years broad HR Generalist experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, talent acquisition and federal and state respective employment laws
