The HR Manager role will be the HR business partner directly supporting the Indianapolis Gatorade Manufacturing site. PepsiCo’s HR Managers are responsible for providing daily HR Generalist support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development to a subset of PepsiCo professionals, managing the relationship with the local union, and executing strategic talent plans that support the needs and priorities of the business now and in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish credibility and trust among local management and employees, and serve as the on-site, go-to HR resource for the team
Accurately diagnose organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans at a local level
Partner with Talent Acquisition and management teams to source and staff a diverse and highly-skilled workforce and support effective onboarding
Assess employee engagement and develop action plans to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace
Develop and lead training across multiple levels and topics
Serve as advisor and coach to associates around career development and performance issues
Participate in employee investigations and ensure appropriate outcomes and follow-up
Leverage PepsiCo centers of excellence to build tools and expertise across teams supported
Lead labor relations efforts with the local union including contract interpretation, grievance response, arbitrations and CBA negotiations preparation
HR Manager supports a client group of 400+ employees in our Indianapolis, IN Gatorade Manufacturing site and will be based there
This position reports to the HR Director for PBNA Hotfill Supply Chain Nationally
Skills & Capabilities:
Understanding of, and some experience with, most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; performance management; leadership development; training)
Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items
Previous talent management and succession planning experience preferred
Proven ability to influence decision making
Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise
Comfortable working in ambiguous business situations
Strong expertise in developing solutions based upon facts/data analytics
Must possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present their point of view in a variety business situations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required; major in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources Management, psychology, business or other related field preferred
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Labor Relations, or Human Resources Management strongly preferred
Work Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years of prior Human Resources Generalist and Leadership experience is preferred
Experience supporting front-line, field-based client groups is preferred; Practicing HR in a manufacturing or distribution center environment is preferred
Union/Labor Relations experience strongly preferred
