Are you a detail oriented, committed, and resourceful individual? We are looking for a leader to act as Controller for an established custom construction company – in our 48th year.
The Controller will provide the necessary planning, direction and controls of all financial reporting activities of the company and institute systems and procedures to assist the President in planning and monitoring the performance of the company. In addition, to perform those activities necessary to achieve the stated objectives needed to support the business and obtain maximum growth and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Direct day to day accounting, including account reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, deposits, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.
• Maintain a system of Accounting Policies and Procedures to safeguard assets, achieve objectives, and ensure the integrity of financial data
• Work with the CEO to develop and manage the budgets and monitor performance against budget and forecasts
• Prepare financial statements and reports- Ensure compliance with all financial and contract reporting requirements for private and public agencies. Primary staff contact for property tax, IRS, workers comp, or other compliance activities
• Provide strategic support and analysis-Work with CEO on general operational controls and improvements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

• 5 years accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience using Sage and strong Excel skills.
• Job costing experience
• Strong PC skills-
• Construction experience helpful
• Ability to prioritize work effectively and adjust to multiple demands
