PHD communications Hiring for Experienced Low Voltage Technician Job at Nashua, NH Full Time

Low voltage cable tech project manager needed: 22$ plus depending on experience at least 2 yrs. This is a working position must be able to managing cabling projects 1000+ cables with up to 4 helpers must be very familiar with lift work. Job includes low voltage data/voice cabling some fiber. Paging equipment and install. IT closet frame installation, terminations and testing as needed.

Individual must be capable of managing projects in a timely professional manner in compliance with customer’s request. Must follow trade safety rules IE. Safety equipment and proper use of lifts and ladders.

Position description: management and assistance of site projects including material request and employee scheduling, employee site supervision and training as needed. Most work is within 1 hr of Nashua. Tools and equipment will be provided. Must possess valid drivers license and working dependable vehicle preferably a small truck or vehicle that can accommodate a ladder rack. Travel time and mileage is paid. Must have ability to work alone or lead a small team, keep accurate job log.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance. Wearing the company uniform during all project-related duties unless specifically directed otherwise by a superior.
• Accept direction and critiques from Team Members in higher classifications.
• Traveling to client sites to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve Telecommunications and Data/IT equipment issues as well as equipment maintenance.
• Cable & enclosure prep: bonding & grounding of all cables when necessary
• Aerial & underground wiring installation
• Ability to properly terminate copper & fiber cable (Cat5e, Cat6, single-mode, multi-mode etc.).
• Ability to properly create and install labels.
• Ability to perform all component and system testing.
• Ability to complete the tasks assigned in a timely manner.
• Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Ability to complete the tasks assigned in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform as crew leader as assigned. Crew leader assignments will be made based on project specifics and the demonstrated abilities of the individual.
• Ability to assure that all team members reporting to you complete their assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to ground and bond all applicable components according to Project Scope of Work, Local and National Codes, and Industry Standards

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid Driver’s License
• Finger & wrist dexterity & hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & rooftops utilizing proper fall protection. Ability to use small hand tools.
• Ability to use power tools.
• Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and drive a vehicle.
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Excellent Customer Service skills.

Working Conditions

• Ability to accept periodic assignments that involve travel away from immediate office area based on client needs, business needs, and project scope.
• Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards.
• General hours of Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. But the ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required.
• Regional travel required.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
