Title Clerk

We are looking for a full-time, experienced title clerk with high attention to detail. Your main responsibility will be to process title and plate registration for dealers and handle the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles. We represent an established group of automotive and technology companies and are looking for the best of the best in the industry to work with. Duties include

• Process new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Interface with software that registers and handles all aspects of title and plate registration.
• Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Check for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Stay abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations.
• Cross-train others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.
• Support title runners in daily routines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency with all things regarding titles, registration, and paperwork regarding vehicle sales.

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Hours
M-F 9am-5pm. Paid holiday leave.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
