The Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) HR and Training Coordinator for PhytogenX, Inc. will assist the HR Manager in day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The role has both an administrative function as well as a “customer service” function as a liaison between employees and HR policies, processes, and benefits.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as the first contact when an employee has a question regarding HR policies, processes or benefits—filtering questions up to the HR Manager as needed.
• Performing all new hire orientations for Spanish speaking employees.
• Setting up new hires in all electronic systems including timecards and various HR tracking files.
• Schedule and perform ongoing annual trainings including, sexual harassment, general safety, GMP, etc. to both Spanish- and English-speaking employees.
• Translate SOPs, critical internal correspondence, and other key documents as needed.
• Help plan, prepare and host assorted employee engagement activities throughout the year including “pop-ups,” annual insurance and 401k renewal meetings, annual parties, etc.
• Translating meetings between HR Manager and Spanish-speaking employees as needed.
• Maintain employee personnel files according to Federal, State, and local regulations.
• Create HR related correspondence when needed.
• Support the HR Manager and Quality Director during external audits as needed.
• Provide content for PhytogenX social media accounts including Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram in support of our recruiting efforts.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements to Perform Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
• High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures
• Ability to manage time well in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Highly professional standards regarding integrity and confidentiality

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or industry certification preferred
