Position Overview:
Responsible for all Receiving and Shipping functions.Reports to theDirector of Operations. This opening is for DAY SHIFT, which operates 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Job Function:
- Supervise all functions of a busy warehouse including the management of inbound and outbound product shipments, inventory control, and day to dayworkflow.
- Hire, train, schedule and motivate warehouse personnel.
- Create, use and analyze metrics to evaluate both the performance of warehouse personnel and the effectiveness of warehouse processes.
- Act as a liaison between the Warehouse and other departments, including Customer Service and Purchasing.
- Resolve shipping issues and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing Company standards and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Must possess an understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Familiar with all Microsoft programs is a plus.
- Familiar with UPS, FedEx, and International shipments.
- Familiar withInternational tariffs a plus .
