Full Job Description
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
A high school graduate or equivalent is required. Vocational training or 2-3 years previous secretarial experience is a must. An Associate’s Degree in Business is preferred. Excellent public relations and communication skills required.
Responds to calls and visits from employees, other visitors including the public at large; determines the urgency of the situation. Suggests appropriate referrals. Answers telephones for department, prioritizes, screens, and redirects calls. Answers questions, handles routine matters on own initiative and takes messages.
Opens, reviews, prioritizes and distributes interoffice and external mail.
Orders supplies in a cost-effective way.
Responds to calls for verification of employment and any other special employee verification and information requests.
Provides general administrative and clerical support to the VP, Director, and the compensation and benefits specialists.
Coordinates the AVP and Director of HR and PMC Management on validating all necessary credentials for new hires and current employees at time of required renewals.
