JOB SUMMARY
Plans, directs, supervises and evaluates the day-to-day activities of a division or designated work unit within Human Resources involving any variety of Human Resources specialty areas, which may include but is not limited to: Recruitment and Selection, Wellness, Occupational Health, Employment Services, Classification and Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Customer Service and Employee Support, Data Analysis, Policy Development, Leave Management and other Human Resources related areas.
This position is not covered under the Pinal County Merit System. Incumbents in this position serve at the pleasure of their respective Appointing Authority. The employment relationship of incumbents in this position is “at will” the employee may be terminated at any time, for any reason, with or without cause.

The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon experience, qualifications and position funding; starting salaries above the midpoint require additional approval.

The work is sedentary and requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The work also requires the ability to finger, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
