JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pinao consulting is looking for a Mainframe Developer to support Global Combat Support Systems – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) Enterprise Logistics Support Systems (ELS2).

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide mainframe production support.
• Provide regional mainframe security auditing and administration management support.
• Support the IBM mainframe environment including assisting in scheduling production jobs using Control-M or other designated scheduling software.
• Support internal/external schedulers in resolving scheduling issues with Control-M.
• Support customers in creating/modifying/implementing schedule, to include weekends and holidays using procedures such as overrides, force completes, calendars, and back outs.
• Support C&A for the mainframe environment.
• Ensure the enforcement of policies and directives for all mainframe users within the AOR, including compliance auditing, reviewing, updating AIS resources and outdated documentation, and ensuring all issues are identified through the proper Organizational reporting chain.
• Analyze de-allocations and perform blackouts/recovery to a designated location (beginning, middle, and end) of the process.
• Perform research and analysis of system, database and processing errors, codes, and implement solution to correct issue or communicate with required personnel to correct issue.
• Support CONUS/OCONUS customers in scheduling/job monitoring/recovery issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair application software supporting designated forms.
• Assist in development, testing and implementation of new printers, forms, or other-directed outputs.
• Assist in developing mainframe-printing solutions for existing and future applications.
• Assist in help desk support functions for all production-processing requirements.
• Recreate printed reports and have output directed to appropriate printing location.
• Redirect prints from one printer to another.
• Monitor printer performance and request preventative maintenance service request via government representative.
• Support production failure- backout/restart of failed processes.
• Create/modify/update/close trouble tickets and work orders and to coordinate incident resolutions with the Help Desk via a customer services solution.
• Develop documentation for new procedures and maintain existing documentation to ensure procedural accuracy.
• Perform Marine Corps mainframe enterprise compliancy auditing, review audit results, and take corrective action upon approval from the Regional Mainframe designated authority.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of current and future policy and standards as they are implemented.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Capable of dissecting complex technical scheduling situations and refocusing on the most critical tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically in order to understand and detect issues and their impacts on the customer and operational environment.
• Experienced in Mainframe environment.

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical training; or work/military experience.

Security Clearance Required:
Must be able to pass Public Trust background check.
