Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic Literary liaison to help an author. You will be an intermediary between the client, publishing houses, and other agents working in the same field, particularly book publicists. You will also be responsible for helping the emerging author form community connections. Besides, you will play a major role in determining the potential market for the client’s work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into marketing and learn all aspects of running a successful marketing campaign. We are looking for someone eager to learn and who strongly desires to grow their skills in the field.

You should be able to protect the author’s interest at all times. In addition, you should maintain a network of contacts such as media professionals, advertising representatives, publishing houses, and other literary agencies.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking book promotional activities and campaigns
• Pitching book proposals to publishing houses
• Identifying the potential market for the clients
• Maintaining media professionals’ and marketing agents’ list
• Managing ongoing and new projects effectively
• Drafting query letters and book deal proposals
• Responding to clients’ queries via call and email
• Networking and attending literary events
• Assist with executing and monitoring social media and email marketing campaigns.
• Create and maintain social media content calendars
• Assist with content creation for email marketing campaigns
• Assist with content creation for social media calendars
• Help develop and maintain our website content calendar
• Help create promotional materials for events, seminars, etc.
• Help create marketing materials for new products or services, as needed
• Help make marketing materials for events, seminars, etc.
• Help create marketing materials for new products or services, as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager, as needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
