Top rate paid to qualified candidates holding a Class A CDL & all ASE Certification up to $34.60 per hour.

Diesel Technician Job Description

As a Diesel Technician with PITT OHIO, you are primarily responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting & repairing fleet equipment safely and correctly. We ask that all our Diesel Technicians perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.

Diesel Technician Responsibilities

• Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components
• Correctly completes work order and documents
• Identifies and informs management of housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions and unsafe work practices with corrective actions

Diesel Technician Requirements/Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state issued driver license
• 2 years verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer maintenance with 1 verifiable year of experience
