Assists in the design and development of planning projects through the analysis and application of social, economic and physical data and reports; and performs other related duties as required.
Current vacancy: Â There is one vacancy with the Department of Community Services, Office of Special Projects, Grants Management Branch, located in Honolulu. Â The position plans, develops, organizes, manages, and monitors activities relating to (a) the implementation of City grants, and (b) obtaining Federal, State and private grants; assists with research, summarizes findings, provides reports and presentations, investigates/follows up on matters related to inquiries or complaints, and produces needed correspondence, as needed, related to special assignments; and performs other related duties as required. Â Depending on the nature and scope of assignments, the position may be required to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines and complete assignments.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, economics or related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.Â
Work experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor’s degree.
