Job Summary:
Do you want to create an automated testing platform from scratch? Are you a self-starter who is motivated by complexity and enjoys troubleshooting? Then the Software Developer in Test role at Playfly Sports is for you. You will utilize your strong problem solving and interpersonal skills to solve problems and maintain quality as the business scales. This position will interface with the development team, technology director, and client user base to maintain high quality software code and quickly resolve support issues related to a client.
Job Responsibilities:
Know the product and its features inside and out. Capable of explaining in detail how each feature works and how best to test them.
Build an automated end-to-end testing platform involving highly complex third-party integrations, machine learning models and data pipelines.
Finds edge cases, documents them, and automates their testing so the end-to-end testing can scale with the business.
Identifies bugs, triages and identifies potential root cause
Advocates BDD within the organization
Requirements:
Minimum 2-years software engineering experience
Skilled in advocating for testing in an organization, development of acceptance criteria
Skilled in development of test scenarios, test plans, and understanding of edge cases
Experience working with REST APIs, Postman, CircleCI, Jira, Junit, Mokito, Cucumber
Strong interpersonal skill and ability to communicate resolution timelines clearly
Experienced solving complex problems with data, making data-informed decisions to drive quick resolutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to present complex technical findings to executives.
