Portland Trail Blazers Hiring for IT Network Operations Specialist at Portland, OR Full Time

As our Network Operations Specialist, you play a key role in maintaining and monitoring the Rose Quarter, Annex, and Practice Facility wired and wireless networks to ensure efficient operations. They are tasked with detecting and troubleshooting any issues that arise with the network, including connectivity, hardware, and software problems.

Responsibilities:


DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain and support corporate Local/Wide Area Network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Maintain and support campus wireless infrastructure at Annex, Rose Quarter and Practice Facility.
  • Configure, install and troubleshoot networking equipment.
  • Monitoring and respond to hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Administer and manage cybersecurity solutions and remediate risks.
  • Provide network operations support for NBA games and other events at Rose Quarter.
  • Maintain and support campus network cabling infrastructure (copper and fiber).
  • Collaborate with team on new projects to improve corporate network infrastructure.
  • Assist with developing cybersecurity best practices and solutions.
  • Resolve trouble tickets for desktop support and employees regarding network issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:
  • Are proficient with Cisco IOS.
  • Have experience working with and troubleshooting networking equipment (switches, routers and firewall).
  • Are proficient in networking protocols and services.
  • Have experience supporting an enterprise wireless network.
  • Have experience with network cabling and troubleshooting tools.
  • Have experience with basic computing and troubleshooting.
  • Have a strong knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals.
  • Have a strong knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Have experience with telecommunications infrastructure and DAS systems.
  • Can think and act quickly under pressure.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can work independently.
  • Keen desire to learn new things and keep up with technology.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with HPE/Aruba.
  • Experience with backup and recovery
