Positive Development is a rapidly growing health care startup offering world class treatment for children with Autism and other developmental delays. Utilizing evidence-based developmental therapy, Positive Development provides a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team to help children and their families experience joy, growth, and meaningful connections.
The Care Coordinator is an essential role within Positive Development providing support to the families we serve, the clinicians and the Autism community in our market. The CC will report to the Senior Operations Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
New Client Intake
· Respond to family inquiries about Positive Development’s services via phone, email and/or in person
· Demonstrate positivity and respect as you familiarize families with our service and learn more about their child’s needs.
· Conduct the client on-boarding process for each new family by facilitating the completion of the online intake form which will include demographic information, clinical history, and family objectives for treatment.
· Collect family insurance information and assist the Insurance team with benefits verifications.
· Communicate the insurance benefit findings with the families.
· Be an ongoing non-clinical resource for Positive Development’s families via phone and telehealth.
Operational Support
· Work with new families to schedule Evaluations, Parent Trainings and ongoing therapy for their child.
· Assist the Regional Clinical Director to match clients with a therapy team including a Developmental Client Coach, a Speech Language Pathologist, and an Occupational Therapist.
· Assist the Recruiters in the sourcing and interviewing of Developmental Client Coaches
Community Relations
· Support the clinical team in the development of referral sources (diagnosticians, primary care physicians and other clinicians) in our markets.
· Increase awareness of Positive Development’s brand by participating in Autism community events, and on-line forums.
Desired Experience and Skills:
· Demonstrated commitment to working in the field of Autism or Developmental Disabilities
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Minimum of 2 years’ work experience
· Comfortable working remotely (Must be based in Southeast Florida and Northeast NJ)
· Proficient in MS Office Suite of products, experience with Teams a plus.
