Senior Network Engineer

Potters Industries is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement and support our global IT infrastructure. In this position you will work on infrastructure projects with all areas of the business to create a user friendly, cost effective, reliable, and secure solution. You will continuously improve the existing infrastructure by monitoring key performance indicators, upgrading hardware and software, standardizing configurations, simplifying deployments, and documenting installations and changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
• Technical and professional certifications a plus
• At least 5 years’ experience with network and system administration
• Project management and communication skills
• Deep understanding of WAN, LAN, and telecom protocols
• Experience with Cisco equipment, Fortinet security fabric, switches, routers, firewalls, proxy servers and wireless access points
• Experience with network monitoring tools for capacity planning, troubleshooting, and threat detection and evaluation
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365 in a multisite, multilanguage environment
• Experience with Dell server hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure installation and support for a multinational organization
• Cloud platform integration and supporting including Azure and Office 365
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches and wireless
• Create and support a standard structured cabling specification
• Install configure and support Fortinet hardware and software solutions
• Install, configure and support virtual servers including Hyper-V and VMware
• Install configure and support server hardware and operating systems
• Continuously improve security and reliability by monitoring equipment patches and bulletins

Expectations:

• Reside in the Kansas City area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
