Certified Medical Coder/Billing Specialist to work claims to obtain accurate reimbursement. Ability to utilize EMR software to assign procedure and diagnosis codes for insurance billing, review claims data to ensure assigned codes meet required legal and insurance rules.

Responsibilities
Collect, post, and manage patient account payments
Submit claims to insurance
Prepare and review patient statements
Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes
Process payments from insurance companies
Code patient services and enter into computer
Ensure organization is reimbursed for all procedures
Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper
Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied
Investigate rejected claim to see why denial was issued

_Education and Experience: _
**Minimal Associates Degree
CPC Required
10 or more years medical coding and billing experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
