Import / Logistics Coordinator
Exciting opportunity for an individual with prior experience working within domestic / import logistics/transportation.
Logistics Coordinator with minimum 2-5 years experience in logistics/ transportation functions.
Basic Job Duties:
- Coordinate with import suppliers along with handling documents, incoming logistics of materials.
- Liaise and negotiate with carriers Full Trucks Loads and LTL’s
- Keep track of quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Plan routes and process shipments, including packing lists and bills of lading
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Organize shipping details with customers and manage shipping requirements
- Assist to improve processes and reduce overall costs of inbound/outbound transportation
Skills and Education:
- Proven working experience in logistics and warehouse management
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience utilizing INFOR / VISUAL ERP is very helpful.,
- Phone experience working with carriers, vendors, and customers
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
- Exceptional sense of priorities and flexibility to react fast to changing requirements
- Must be fluent in English
Preferred Education:
- Associates Degree– Logistics and Warehouse Management or equivalent
