Position overview:

A private family, based in State College, PA seeks a FULL TIME Live out Personal Chef/ Houseman. This position will begin immediately. Highly Competitive Salary. Responsibilities:

• Maintain discretion with confidential information and utmost respect for family’s privacy
• Understand and follows nutrition and health goals of family
• Cook and prepare highly delicious and nutritious meals per preferences of the Principals and their family including fresh smoothies and healthy desserts. Responsible for keeping healthy, prepared, ready-to-eat snacks in the fridge at all times
• Plan and coordinate monthly, weekly, and daily menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks per needs and dietary restrictions including but not limited to Gluten-free, Soy-free and Dairy-free diets. Shop for fresh groceries daily to ensure kitchen is running smoothly. Submit receipts weekly or upon request
• Stock, label and date food containers in the fridge and pantry
• Cleaning out old/expired food regularly
• Keep the fridge, kitchen cabinets/drawers pantry clean and always organized. Kitchen clean-up daily. Remove trash daily before leaving at the end of the day
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. ¨ Report any malfunctioning / broken cooking equipment i.e.: stove tops, ovens, refrigerators, blocked kitchen sinks, etc. as well as any broken items such as wine glasses, plates, missing cutlery, etc. Hands on – change lightbulbs, batteries, filters etc.
• If any cooking supplies, other than food, are needed approve by Principles prior to purchasing. ¨Plan, coordinate, cook, and serve food for special events
• Assist with wine purchases and pairings
• Handling occasional events and setting up additional vendors when necessary
• Occasional evening events may require chef to work on designated “off days”; flexibility is required.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Maintaining automobiles (fueled, cleaned up and up to date on all necessary checkups and documents) and garages. Monitor care/maintenance and travelling to a second residence in PA. (less than two hours from primary residence)

· Packing and unpacking for the principal trips with a checklist to ensure all items are packed and replenished to be ready for next trip

· Porter duties

· Ensuring proper care of fine clothing/wardrobe

· Plant care

· Prepare and organize medication and vitamins trays for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between meals

· Coordinate with vendors regarding household maintenance/repairs as needed

· Maintain and update household manuals including

o Clothing book and list

o Medical binder

o Packing checklist

o Others

· Additional projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal as well as computer proficiency

· Poised, polished and professional

· Willing to ask questions and receive guidance when needed

· Able to adapt to changing priorities

· Valid driver’s license and a car

· Able to withstand deep background, credit and reference check

· Able to work legally in the United States

· Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 55 pounds

· Having a track records of success in similar roles

· Long term intent

· Comfortable and confident working fast -paced environment where the discretion and confidentiality are required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
