Human Resources Manager

In 1994, Pharmacists Eric Vidrine, P.D. and David Mayer, P.D. began compounding customized medications at Northside Pharmacy in Lafayette. In January of 1998, Eric and David opened Professional Arts Pharmacy. This was the first pharmacy in Lafayette dedicated to the specialty of compounding. Over the next four years, Professional Arts Pharmacy established a reputation for being the medication problem solving specialist and became a valuable resource to the Lafayette medical community. With now over 70 employees, we continue to grow at an exciting rate.
As a Human Resources Manager, you will carry out responsibilities in areas including but not limited to employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, recruitment and selection, development and implementation of policies and procedures that support the mission, core values, and goals of Professional Arts Pharmacy.
What you’ll accomplish here:
· Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
· Administer human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel within prescribed interpretive guidelines.
· Lead the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
· Participate in developing department goals, objectives, processes and systems.
· Assist with program reviews and/or development.
· Produce and review reports, and/or maintain Human Resources Information System records.
· Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
· Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department.
· Participate in staff meetings, other meetings, and seminars as requested or assigned.
· Facilitate employee training and orientations to the workforce and/or management as needed, related to both skills development and compliance.
· Assure compliance with all laws and regulations in areas of assignment. [KB1]
· Assist with ongoing maintenance of personnel files and records retention policies and procedures.
· Coordinate and monitor Professional Arts Pharmacy’s coverage under unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, etc.
· Assist with employee relations issues such as employee complaints and exit interviewing.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

A successful Human Resources Manager will have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of an organization. This person has a demonstrated ability to work independently within interpretive guidelines, take initiative, and perform effectively in fast-paced and constantly changing environment. This is someone with effective oral and written communication skills and a responsive customer service focus. The Human Resources Manager must have a professional, sensitive approach to handling delicate and confidential situations, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality. This person must be skilled in coaching employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues. This is someone skilled at problem solving in a manner consistent with company standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations or government laws.
