Full Job Description
Growing occupational medicine practice is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant / Scribe approximately 4-6 days per month. The Medical Assistant will partner with a Provider and conduct disability evaluations on behalf of Social Security. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates with plans to pursue careers in the medical field, especially those interested in medical, PA and NP schools. A letter of recommendation is often provided for candidates, upon their request, detailing their direct patient interaction and achievements.
B.S. or working towards a B.S. in a science related field is strongly preferred.
Must have excellent time-management skills and be 100% reliable on reporting to work.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Opening and closing procedures including setup, disinfection protocols, and returning the clinic space to opening condition
- Clinic supply management, replenishment orders with headquarters
- Manage the reception area, schedule, claimant check-in, and documentation
- Perform claimant intake including taking vitals including BP, Pulse, Respiratory Rate, Height, and Weight
- Perform medical history interviews with each claimant and complete documentation in EHR software system
- Verbal debrief to the Provider upon presenting the claimant for the physical examination.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All claimants are pre-screened for symptoms. Strict social distancing and disinfection protocols are maintained at each facility to reduce the risk of infection. Standard PPE including face masks are provided to staff members.
Education:
- Bachelor’s (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical Office Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
