At Propeller, you will:

Project Work

• Throughout the course of the internship, you will be assigned to one or more client or pro-bono projects where you are responsible for a particular part of a project component.
• Through interactions with the project team, you will receive mentorship and support to help their success on the engagement, while receiving guidance about how to be successful creating deliverables and communicating with stakeholders.
• You may also participate in portions of internal Propeller projects and get exposure and experience with solving complex business problems.

Learning & Networking

• Beyond exposure to “real life” projects, you will also have access to local and firm-wide learning and networking events, including lunch and learns, industry/service line spotlights, and regularly scheduled training offerings designed to help develop your technical and client service skills.
• Additional social activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with Propeller consultants and leadership.
• You will work with clients and Propeller professionals who will show you the ropes. You will get a first-hand view of what a career with Propeller is like.

Mentorship

• Each intern is assigned a mentor and Propeller buddy, to help offer guidance throughout the experience.
• The mentor offers career guidance and feedback throughout the course of the internship.
• The onboarding partner is a peer level “buddy” to help answer questions and offer insight into how to make the most of the internship experience. These relationships typically carry over into the future and offer a great way to stay connected to Propeller while back at school.
• There will be formal goal-setting and evaluation processes throughout the internship. Some interns could receive a part-time or full-time offer at the conclusion of the internship program.

You Have:

• Experience managing multiple priorities at once and setting and achieving ambitious goals
• 2+ years of experience in leadership role in extracurricular activities, academic roles, or 1+ years working experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
• Strong organization and time management skills
• A growth mindset and an eagerness to take on new challenges
• Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
• Natural curiosity, creativity and humility
• Demonstrated proactiveness and perseverance in complex environments
• The ability to demonstrate a legal right to work in the U.S.
• Graduation & career on the horizon- our internship is open to those with graduation dates of Spring/Summer 2024 or earlier.
• Preferred: an interest in a career path in consulting, particularly in the industries of retail, healthcare, or tech.

Compensation:

Our internship is scheduled to be 12 weeks starting in early June, approximately 30 hours per week, at a rate of $25-$30/hr depending on location.

Location:

Our internships will be hybrid with an expectation of in person work ~2 days per week, with location in Portland, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Denver.
