About the Position:
As a High School Math Teacher, you will help to create an inquiry-based learning environment where students develop deep conceptual understanding and self-efficacy as mathematical problem solvers. Join us in our exciting movement to detrack mathematics. By providing equitable course sequences and rigorous, problem based curricula, we enable all students to reach the highest levels of IB math.
Our goal is to offer students numerous chances to try, fail, and grow. We rely on data to inform progress and our decision-making process, all while engaging in culturally-responsive pedagogy. At all times, Prospectors — students and staff alike — should strive for deeper and higher-order questioning and thinking.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our school Principal, Department Head, and subject teachers to continuously improve and iterate on relevant curricula
- Teach 4 sections of Math
- Use assessment data, student work, and other information to inform plans for student and class objectives
- Operate with the belief that all students can and want to learn.
- Prioritize each student’s academic and social-emotional development.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in education strongly preferred
- NYS teaching certification preferred
- An active community builder who believes in collaborating across teams and functions in order to achieve results
- A deep belief in our mission & vision with a strong enthusiasm for integrating public education
