Prototek – Rapid Prototyping & Low-Volume Production Hiring for Shipping Coordinator at Blue Mounds, WI Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift

Job Summary

The role of the Shipping Coordinator is to coordinate the logistics of all outbound shipments. This position will prepare parts for shipment and maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory. To be successful, this position must work well cross-functionally among multiple departments with strong communication and organizational skills.

Essential Functions

• Process customer shipments in ERP System for multiple business units to generate packing slips
• Verify actual contents to required contents of shipment
• Package parts for shipment, build crates as necessary
• Prepare documents for shipment
• Request quotes for LTL, freight, or courier shipping services
• Schedule and process daily shipping via common carrier per customer requirements to generate shipping labels; complete necessary paperwork such as bill of lading
• Perform final visual inspection of products during packing and communicate any quality concerns to production
• Manage inventory and negotiate purchase of all shipping supplies

• Proficient knowledge of ERP systems
• Proficient knowledge logistics management
• Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a cross-function environment
• Demonstrate initiative and personal accountability to meet work demands; work effectively under pressure with limited supervision
• Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and facility needs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to effectively maintain department needs

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years’ experience in logistics management or related field required
