Full Job Description
PRPL is looking to add a skilled Full Stack Developer to serve as an integral part of a larger team working on CMS configurations, UI development, and API integrations. Developers at PRPL are generally comfortable with code in a variety of environments. As a successful developer at PRPL, you should have experience working on more complex websites and applications with minimal oversight. PRPL values problem-solvers that design technology solutions and execute with thoughtfulness and quality. Curiosity, tenacity, and resourcefulness are common qualities. Responsibilities*
- Use server-side languages such as PHP, C#, and Python to develop websites, web applications, and content management systems
- Use HTML / CSS / JavaScript to develop thoughtful, user-driven websites, web applications, and content management systems
- Connect to third-party APIs using REST or GraphQL implementations
- Develop requirements and planning documentation
- Collaborate with design and marketing to develop products
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
- Maintain working knowledge of content management and eCommerce solutions such as WordPress, Drupal, Sanity CMS, and WooCommerce
- Build responsive websites and web apps that work across many devices and screen sizes
- Proactively perform cross-browser testing and optimizations
- 3-5 years professional development experience
- Expert knowledge of PHP, C#, and/or Python
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Expert knowledge of at least one major frontend framework (i.e. React, Vue)
- Expert knowledge of client-side optimization techniques
- Expert understanding of the latest and legacy browser capabilities, including mobile
- Fluent understanding of object-oriented programming techniques
- Functional knowledge of content management and eCommerce solutions such as WordPress, Drupal, Sanity CMS, and WooCommerce
- Strong experience with version control systems (i.e. git, svn, hg)
- Functional knowledge of Linux, UNIX, and Apache
- Familiarity with UNIX terminal commands
- Previous experience as a web developer
- Tough skin and excellent time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with both teams and clients
- Existing digital agency experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent academic endeavor
