Summary of Position

Quail Run Association is seeking a Human Resource Professional to provide day-to-day Human Resources (HR) support, guidance, and service to 90 Quail Run employees and ensure Quail Run maintains a healthy, safe, and productive work environment.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use sound judgment and reasoning based on established policies.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred, conversational Spanish is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS), isolved experience preferred.
• Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations. Also the ability to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
• Ability to assist in creating a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Train and support management in HR related functions.
• Provide HR services to employees.
• Provide regular communications to all employees regarding HR updates.
• Support, update and create as needed current human resources policies and procedures, including the employee Handbook revisions and updates.
• Conduct annual wage rate analysis.
• Benefits administration (401k, health, dental, vision etc.) and coordinate with contractor, HUB International.
• Oversight of compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations i.e., DOL, EEOC, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and others.
• Maintain compliance with the Federal I-9 form including E-verify.
• Maintain employee file compliance.
• Oversee anti-harassment and anti-discrimination program.
• Conduct the interactive process for ADAAA compliance.
• Ensure all COVID policies are being followed with department documentation.
• Ensure required OSHA records and First Report of Injuries are filed timely.
• Prepare and manage medical and workers compensation files.
• Provide consultation on the administration of the worker’s compensation return-to-work program.
• Actively participate in the Workplace Safety Committee.
• Responsible for recruiting and acquiring the best potential candidates according to the approved job description and budgetary requirements.
• Attend and professionally represent Quail Run at appropriate job fairs, special functions, and events for recruiting and networking.
• Oversee hiring, interview, reference check and selection process.
• Assist management with writing and updating job descriptions.
• Train hiring managers on the interview process.
• Assist management with reviewing, updating and/or creating interview questions based on the job description.
• Facilitate background checks, drug testing, and establish a legally compliant policy for new hires.
• Administration of the new employee orientation and onboarding program.
• Assist management with coaching employees to achieve their best performance.
• Establish a consistent process and timely completion of performance review.
• Assist management with maintaining employee morale through programs such as, employee recognition, award programs and functions, and referral program.
• Facilitate dispute resolution and mediation which may require working with our legal representation.
• Conduct harassment and discrimination investigations involving appropriate managers.
• Play a lead role in disciplinary and termination action including documentation, investigation, and meetings.
• Perform exit interviews on terminated employees and provide results to General Manager.
• Analyze turnover reports and make recommendations.
• Unemployment claim administration.
• Maintain human resources information system (HRIS), employee database: new hires, terminations, wage changes, benefit deductions, garnishments, reviews, and disciplinary documentations.
• Payroll processing
• Ensure payroll regulations are adhered to.
• Verify timecard completion and approvals and input other per pay period earnings/deductions.
• Create and run payroll reports.
• Training managers on timeclocks and HRIS
• Ensure proper functioning of timeclocks and HRIS.
