Quest Preservation is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavation/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. Responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment including excavators, backhoes, loaders, and dozers in a safe, expeditious manner and in accordance with safe practices. This position earns $35-$50 per hour, depending on experience.
Other responsibilities include:
- Safely change buckets and attachments in a timely manner
- Understand mixing of soil and water content for proper backfill
- Able to perform safe and clean trench excavation and backfill
- Able to calculate and set proper grades and elevations
- Able to interact with construction superintendents and governing authorities to effectively manage project
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and operating equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Physical requirements:
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, pushing, and pulling of heavy objects regularly throughout the work shift
- Able to work in sun, heat, dry, dirty and dusty conditions
- Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance
Requires manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform manual responsibilities
