We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. The ideal candidate will have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, etc. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Education and Experience :

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a production environment (preferably FDA regulated) with conveyor and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities:

Manages and directs activities of maintenance employees engaged in machine operation, repair, maintenance, and installation of production machines, tools, and equipment. Understands and implements company and customer written procedures in accordance with cGMP and other governmental requirements. Additional duties include:

• Achieves production maintenance operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews. Key Performance Indicators include but are not limited to; downtime performance, OEE, and schedule compliance
• Accountable for removing obstacles, solving problems, setting direction, and empowering the maintenance department to achieve results.
• Committed to meeting production goals in the areas of safety, cost, quality, production performance, and service to customers in driving seamless startups and changeovers.
• Initiates new maintenance SOP’s and updates approved maintenance SOPs.
• Plans labor resources to maintain the production equipment.
• Manages the planning, scheduling, and documentation of Preventive Maintenance (PM) on all production equipment.
• Complies with safety (OSHA) and environmental (EPA & VA DEQ) requirements.
• Ensures that maintenance employees maintain clean, neat, and safe work areas.
• Ensure maintenance mechanics and line technicians work with other TTL employees in a respectful manner in a team atmosphere.
• Assures that staff receives necessary training, including that for operations, cGMPs, safety, and protecting the environment.
• Monitors operational costs to ensure the department operates within the budgeted constraints.
• Communicate performance expectations to supervisors and team members and provide feedback when appropriate.
• Sets goals, monitors and measures results for the department.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to effectively supervise and train maintenance personnel.

• Excellent communication, coaching and training skills are a must.

• Highly organized with proven project management, financial, and negotiation skills to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects, and requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead, influence, collaborate and work with diverse teams and individuals at all levels throughout the organization. * Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and independent thought
• Possess analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to organize and control work assignments, projects, and budgets.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift items up to 50 lbs. in performance of duties.
• Ability to plan ahead to minimize potential issues as well as to meet company growth objectives.
