Job Title: BHR Manager
Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 – on site
Duration: 2 Months
Pay: $61-63/hourly
Shift: 8 am to 4 pm
Job Description:
Duties:
HR Business partner with the company R&D group to proactively work with managers to evaluate and develop strategies for implementation of changes that have a broad impact on the business.
Develop and implement systems and sourcing strategies for client areas with an emphasis on diversity initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and practices.
May work to develop, update, implement, and communicate aspects of Performance Excellence to include performance assessments, growth planning, career development and criteria for promotional/developmental moves (e.g. talent management discussions, career path, and job description update projects).
Get involved in providing direct organizational development support to VP groups and their staff.
Work directly with all levels of management within the organization as a liaison to Company HR resources for talent acquisition, employee relations, leave management, etc.
Day to day responsibility for ensuring the effective ‘delivery’ of all HR programs and services through the centralized HR service center model. Be the ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to the business and help represent the collective reputation of the HR organization as a whole.
Minimally 8-10 years progressive relevant experience in HR or a related field.
HR Experience supporting for profit organizations and across multiple disciplines/sites preferred.

Must have demonstrated skills in leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, decision-making, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships and influence client area on HR related topics.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations or related field. A thorough knowledge of Human Resources laws, practices, and policies, as well as its role within the overall business is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS/MBA in Industrial Relations or Human Resource Management.
Certified Professional HR or Senior Professional HR or equivalent experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting investigations regarding workplace matters to ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Effectively and accurately maintains confidential ER data in both systems and paper files.
Ensures professional service is provided at all times in accordance with the ER Service Level Agreement.
Assists Office of Ethics & Compliance and Security with investigations related to Employee Relations (ER)issues.
Proactively brings forward solutions to address business requirements.
Completes project tasks within time and budget as directed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Employee Relations, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Employee Relations and/or Human Resources.
Expertise in HR regulations, policies, and procedures.
Excellent written (documentation) and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work confidentially and professionally with all levels of employees.
Software knowledge a plus: Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Workday (or other system of record experience highly preferred), Zendesk (or other CRM experience highly preferred).
