Rauch & Associates Hiring for Logistics Supervisor at Detroit, MI Full Time

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Oversee the life cycle of products, including production, shipping, and receiving.
• Coordinate with sales to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers.
• Monitor inventory level to ensure warehouse has required stock.
• Tracking products from departure to make sure they arrive at the customer’s destination on time.
• Oversee arrival of shipments (ocean and daily from vendor).
• Make sure all the purchase requirements are fulfilled on time.
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
• Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered.
• Responsible for R&D Dept. sourcing equipment, goods, and services.
• Responsible for purchasing all direct materials for North America R&D center and China.
• Work closely with finance department to optimize business processes for invoice matching through SAP configuration which ultimately reduced administrative workload.
• Efficiently works with and manages team to keep logistics and purchasing cost down.
• Lead a team of two logistics professionals (1 in US; 1 in Mexico).

Experience & Qualifications:

• BS degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 5+ years’ working experience specifically in transportation operations, material planning, and inventory planning. Automotive supplier experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, effective problem solver, and positive team player.
• Experience leading a team.
• Effectively analyzes data, works well under pressure.
• Mandarin language proficiency is a plus.
• Practical experience working with internal/external vendors.
• Satisfactory background check required.
