Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of strategic HR services, programs, initiatives that align with US legal requirements and that support the family owned culture of RAPA.
2. Lead efforts in talent acquisition, interviewing methods, talent development and retention.
3. Own job description and classification activities. Conduct wages & benefit surveys.
4. Develops, coordinates and facilitates associate training and development programs. Responsible for training tracking, records and certifications.
5. Lead and facilitate payroll and benefit programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD, 401k, Worker’s Compensation Insurance and other related benefit programs). Negotiate benefit contracts on an annual basis and comply with all audit and reporting requirements.
6. Work directly with Leadership Team in developing and deploying labor, shift and production models. Work to ensure staffing strategies are effective within the business and financial plan of the operation.
7. Champions company diversity and inclusion efforts.
8. Ensures company compliance with governmental regulations such as: Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), OSHA regulator report requirements, etc.
9. Collects, evaluates, and presents available data such as: Overtime, Retention, Turnover, Absenteeism, Safety Performance, etc. in monthly Operational Review Meetings.
10. Works with legal entities to support expatriate assignments within the US and Germany including verification of work visas and employment contracts.
11. Own the associate relations program including investigating associate issues, communication & recognition programs, associate surveys, company events and cafeteria services.
12. Prepares budget of Human Resources Department in yearly Business Plan.
13. Company representative at external functions, community events or hearings.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education and Experience
1. Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
2. Five or more years HR management experience preferably in manufacturing.
3. Well above normal verbal and written communication skills.
4. Articulate, professional appearance and use of time management.
5. Ability to hold a passport and travel within Germany without accompaniment.
6. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
7. Experience managing expatriate process a plus.
8. Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
