Full Job Description
We are seeking an innovative C++ developer to design high-end applications for our clients. You will be determining the scope of software development projects, collaborating on the development of software applications, and obtaining and integrating end-user feedback.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Consulting with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of software development projects.
- Work in a C++ environment on both Windows and Linux platforms
- Enhance and maintain backend servers (C++) used for real-time trading applications
- Contribute during all phases of project lifecycle
- Work with QA and support teams to address issues that arise during development and testing
- Developing software & overseeing the deployment of applications across platforms.
- Design and develop high-performance C++ algorithms to optimize matching of market orders under a multi-dimensional constrained search space while simultaneously minimizing time complexity of those algorithms.
- Develop highly-available and fault-tolerant C++ microservices leveraging event-sourcing architecture and publish/subscribe network communication protocols
- Contribute to C++ core infrastructure libraries to accelerate the delivery of new microservices across the firm by writing modular and reusable C++ libraries.
- Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures.
- Creating end-user application feedback channels.
- Optimizing software by performing maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
- Documenting processes and maintaining software development records.
- Keeping up to date with C++ standards and advancements in application development.
Required Skills:
- Current knowledge of C++ standards and specifications.
- Proficiency in C++ compliant languages such as C, Java, and Python.
- Extensive experience in deploying software across a variety of platforms and operating systems.
- Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and XML.
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Great organizational and time management skills.
- College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
- Passion for C++ development
- Strong skills in both structural and OO programming, C++: modern C++ design patterns, templates, multithreaded programming
- Minimum of 5 years experience in C++ programming (personal or work projects)
- Experience with version control system (such as GIT)
- Extensive problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels within IT and the various Business Units
Education & Experience:
- B.Tech/BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 3 -10 years of experience in a similar role.
