This position is responsible for the supervision and administration of all Human Resources functions of the manufacturing plant including recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, safety and occupational health, wage & salary administration, and security.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Establish/maintain communication with all Plant HRBPs, management, and staff members.
• Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are compliant with all Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Recruit, interview and select employees to fill vacant positions.
• Conducts new employee orientations.
• Administrate workers compensation program. Investigate all injuries, first aid and and work with plant management to reduce risks.
• Administrate discipline actions when required. Assist supervisors/plant management with disciplinary issues. Maintain action records.
• Develop/update plant job descriptions, plant rules, procedures and policies.
• Conduct assessments of current processes in order to identify problem areas, including the development of job safety analyses (JSA’s).
• Develop and implement process improvements and conduct necessary training for affected employees.
• Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Training and experience in improving, implementing and administrating safety processes in a manufacturing environment.
• SHRM – SCP, SHRM-CP or PHR/SPHR highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager, leading business with over 300 employees.
• Must have exposure to workers’ compensation and safety program administration.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Must be a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and maintain priorities with minimal supervision.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
