Renaissance Benefits is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team!

At Renaissance, the HR Generalist will serve as the subject matter expert regarding Benefits, FMLA, and ADA. In addition to supporting employees with leave and benefits, this role will also be responsible for Employee Relations and providing coaching to leaders as needed.

What will this role entail?

• Assists employees with benefit enrollment or changes, dependent verification, and benefit concerns.
• Ensures all benefits are updated accurately in the HRIS and with all benefit carriers.
• Responsible for administration of all leave of absences processes, including FMLA, State Sick Leave, and Disability.
• Oversees the ADA administrative processes, including the interactive process, new/re-certifications, and notifications to employees, medical providers, and management.
• Processes payments and adjustments for short-term disability, paid time off, and benefit deductions.
• Serves as the primary contact and liaison with all benefit carriers, brokers, and outsourced provides, such as FMLA and COBRA.
• Compiles eligibility data and other reports as needed.
• Assists with open enrollment, including updating benefit guides, auditing changes, and processing updates to HR systems.
• Answers general HR questions, referring more complex issues to senior staff. Serves as the subject matter expert and primary troubleshooter for benefit related questions or issues.
• Assists managers with Employee Relations claims and issues as they present in partnership with the HR Manager, as needed.
• Coach and mentor managers as they have Employee Relations Issues that are presented.
• Provides support to HR staff as needed for projects, programs, meetings, travel, and general clerical duties, as needed.
• Serves as a backup for other HR Coordinators when staff is unavailable or out of the office.

What must I possess to qualify?

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Management, or related field Required.
• 2-4 years’ experience in Human Resources with Employee Relations and/or Benefits Administration experience Required.
• Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, employee relations, and leave of absence policies Required.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft office products, particularly Excel Preferred.
• Previous experience with Benefits Administration and LOA processing strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working for a multi-state employer with State Leave Laws strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
