Renu Contracting & Restoration Hiring for Carpenter Job at Port Chester, NY Full Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter for our Port Chester, NY location. The Carpenter is needed for commercial renovation fit-outs in Westchester County. Our Carpenters are capable with both wood & metal framing, hanging doors, installing sheet-rock, as well as windows and typical punch-list finish work.

Primary Responsibilities:

• As directed, builds, repairs and installs such items metal/wood stud framing, drywall/sheet rock, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, building framework, roofs, and trim following verbal or written instructions utilizing the tools of the carpentry trade and following standard carpentry techniques.
• May be required to work with a variety of materials in addition to wood including but not limited to sheet metal, plastics or aluminum.
• May keep inventory and control of the distribution of carpentry tools and equipment and maintain such equipment.
• As required, may draw rough sketches or prepare plans to scale from verbal or written instructions to accomplish a project.
• From plans, may recommend to supervisor and order the kind, quantity, and quality of materials to be used.

Qualifications:

• Posses own Hand Tools.
• Qualified candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and be able to work with all levels of the organization.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Working knowledge of carpentry techniques.
• Patching and painting ability.
• Ability to plan, lay out and complete varied carpentry work.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret building and furniture plans.
• Ability to use the tools, machines, equipment and materials of the carpentry trade.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required of a Carpenter.
