Resource Group Staffing Hiring for Shipping and Receiving- Warehouse at Pelham, AL Full Time

1 Resource Group, a professional/technical/skilled trades recruitment company specializing in construction, industrial, and manufacturing sectors, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Worker in Pelham, AL with shipping and receiving experience for our client in Pelham, Alabama. This Temp to Perm position works 40 hours weekly with great benefits offered once hired on as a permanent employee with our client!

As a Warehouse Worker, you will assist with day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. You will work with a team to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, but you must be able to work alone, so strong attention to detail is needed for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Process, package, and ship orders accurately using UPS, Air Freight, and LTL shipments
• Ensure that incoming shipments are received and stored properly
• Maintain inventory control and stock organization
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized
• Conduct routine inspections to identify any potential issues with products or the warehouse environment
• Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues related to warehouse operations
• Stage finished products for loading
• Consult with other employees on hazmat shipments to ensure shipments are labeled and documented correctly

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to maintain forklift certification
• Minimum of one year of general warehouse or tool room experience
• Knowledge of company product offerings (construction tools and consumables) preferred
• Able to drive and safely operate a forklift, stock picker, and pallet jack
• Experience using barcode readers, computer terminals (computer literate), and/or other electronic devices
• Solid mathematical abilities/aptitude
• Good communication/interpersonal skills required, with the ability to respond to inquiries at all levels
• Capable of working at a fast pace, with excellent time management skills
• Strong attention to detail/follow-up
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction
• Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)
• Capable of multitasking and flexible to change direction or focus as priorities dictate
• CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATION: IATAA/49 CFR Hazmat license may be required based on assigned role/responsibility

$17.00- $18.00 hr
