About the Role
The Senior HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department.
Responsibilities
Human Resources:
Manage and perform all HR responsibilities for the Company.
Research and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations and maintain records.
Establish management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Up level the organization’s human resources department by planning, implementing, and optimizing employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Lead all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team.
Outline recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws.
Design and update job descriptions and conduct interviews with candidates.
Recommend and develop in-house management and employee training programs that address company needs.
Oversee human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Standardize and administer exit interviews and procedures.
Attend interdepartmental meetings with other managers.
People Management:
Lead, manage, and implement best practices for a team of HR professionals and recruiters.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates regarding HR in areas such as policy and procedure.
Perform reviews within team hierarchy and develop professional roadmaps.
Supervisory Responsibility: HR Team Manager (20%)
Qualifications
5 + years in HR
1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
Extensive knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure with a strong understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations.
Strong experience in building HR and people management systems in a startup environment.
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
Ability to view issues without bias
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively adapt to changes quickly
PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, preferred
Startup Experience, preferred
Working Conditions
Remote, in-home office.
Physical Requirements
