JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY
This position performs secretarial and administrative duties in support of the Department of Human Resources (HR) and supervisor. Work involves providing key administrative support to all functional areas within the department including assisting with special projects and completion of complex tasks; handling responsibilities related to employment related inquiries; preparing correspondence and preparation of other associated related human resources documents; performing research; providing information on a variety of complex issues and complaints; assisting in the coordination of Open Enrollment; screening and handling a variety of routine inquiries by telephone, email, and in person; and maintaining a variety of records and files. This position also uses a variety of office equipment including various Human Resource Information Systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is sedentary work and requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body; work may also require crouching, manual dexterity, perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels, distinguishing among sounds, mental acuity, talking, and walking.
