Position Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required; AA degree or a certification in the healthcare field strongly preferred
One-year Customer Service Experience Required, Healthcare Field Preferred
One year of computer experience required; electronic health record preferred
Desired Qualifications

Demonstrates good reasoning ability under pressure
Demonstrates ability to cope with interruptions, remember pertinent guidelines and policies and procedures

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reception and Scheduling Role:
Answer and process incoming and outgoing phone calls efficiently and politely
Receive patients in a timely manner
Cancelling and confirming patient appointments via manual and automatic reminder calls
Create and distribute patient medical messages to appropriate care teams
Sort and distribute mail via internal routing
Obtain and accurately enter patient demographics information into electronic medical record
Schedule patient appointments appropriately based on patient request, visit reason and availability.
Maintaining and updating provider schedules
Obtain patient signature on required documents and consent form to ensure accurate billing
Verify and scan insurance and personal identification cards into electronic medical record
Verify insurance benefits and explain when necessary, plan details and restrictions
Manage order and POC signatures for external providers.
Utilizing various reports to ensure billing accuracy
Safeguard security and confidentiality of data and information according to HIPAA guidelines
Understand the contents of a patient chart to extract documents for Release of Information
Collect all required co-pays or payments required prior to visit and balance a cash drawer.
Ability to stay calm under stress while providing a professional patient experience
Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with co-workers, supervisors, patients and others
Promote service excellence by demonstrating polite, cooperative, and respectful behavior to both internal and external customers.
Assist clinics in utilization of service recovery process for service excellence.
Assume responsibility for completing mandatory educational requirements.
Carry out duties in a safe manner and use safety devices provided to protect self and others. Report safety hazards as appropriate.

Therapist Assistance
Responsible for cleaning and preparing work areas and equipment to infection control standards between patient treatments.
Responsible for maintaining and documenting daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
Responsible for monitoring and documenting temperature tracking of required equipment.
Monitor, Update, and copy patient exercise, education, functional outcomes and department forms.
Maintain Inventory and Stock treatment supplies, orthotics, and equipment.
Prepares and assists therapist with patient treatment as delegated by the therapist.
