Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyzes demand trends, forecasts and stakeholder input for assigned product groups using statistical forecasting models that consider trend and/or seasonality along with manual adjustments for significant or unique deviations from currently predicted amounts. Includes pulling data from multiple sources (SAP, Global Business Warehouse, other business area specific sources, etc.) and leading meetings to collaborate with functional areas of sales, marketing, finance and operations to produce SKU level demand forecasts. Ensures alignment of forecasts for related products (example: calibrators and controls with reagent kits or accessories with instruments)
Supports new product launch and conversion teams to ensure demand signals are communicated with proper lead-times to allow supply organization to adequately plan inventory production, arrival and depletion. Participates in cross-functional teams to support launch and conversion initiatives which relate to product supply and inventory
Provides reports and analysis for marketing and supply chain, backorder monitoring, last-call forecasts and other ad hoc requests.
Manages inventory reserve lot and inventory sequestering processes as applicable
As demand and supply representative for one of Roche DIA’s largest affiliates, works closely with global supply organization (GSC) to ensure forecasts are aligned with US business requirements and maintained with a high degree of accuracy. Serves as a key interface between business areas (e.g. Marketing) and GSC Planning regarding demand/supply issues. Supports cross-functional teams to minimize excess/scrap inventory, reduce incidence of backorders/impact to customer from backorders.
Supports finance and marketing during annual financial and long-range business planning
Responsible for driving forecast changes needed to achieve overall forecast accuracy targets.
Coordinates with organizational stakeholders on developing and executing strategies for materials on supply interruption.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate optimal business partnership to support our external customers.
Lead/Participate in process improvement initiatives. Develop or assist in the development of departmental protocols. May assist in training and mentoring support staff.
Executes and manages support functions and databases (Global Condition Framework, Customer by Demand Report, Open Orders, SAP, Reserves, and others as assigned)
Daily monitoring/review and execution of inquiries/requests for product shipments
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 2 years business experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
General business skills or acumen
Knowledge of materials management and logistics
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of related experience
Experience in detailing and presenting information to others with strong attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to clarify and solve complex situations
Strong organization and planning skills including project management with the ability to concurrently manage several projects at once
Experience with ERP systems, databases, spreadsheets, Smartsheets, and/or Tableau Reports
Be able to work independently and in a team environment while being proactive in communicating and resolving issues
Familiarity with Roche product lines, customers, processes and structure preferred
Experience with SAP, APO, & Global BW databases preferred
