Position Duties and Responsibilities

13.  Applies the approved guidelines to formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, physical exam, and clinical findings.
14.  Utilizes electronic health record for documentation of patient status/care, registration and scheduling.
15.  Accountable for patient charges.
16.  Provides for referral, transfer or discharge patients to appropriate level of care and provider.
17.  Works and interacts effectively as a team member.
18.  Demonstrates stability under pressure by maintaining composure and satisfying requirements under stressful circumstances.
19.  Does not abuse sick time or personal absence and provides proper notification for absence or tardiness.

33. Maintains assigned equipment, reports, malfunctions and orders service as necessary.

37.  Facilitates interdepartmental approach to investigate concerns, develop solutions, and evaluate solutions.

39.  Maintains ACLS, CPR and PALS certification.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

1. Current RN Licensure in Illinois.
2. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
3. Certification by a national certification organization.
4. Must have a Master’s Degree.
5. Must be currently CPR certified with ACLS & PALS certification.
6. Two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience preferred.
7. Must be in good physical and mental health and able to work under pressure.
8. Must have good teaching and communication skills.
9. The ability to operate designated computer equipment.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

1. Works in normal patient care/clinic environment where there are minimal physical discomforts due to temperature, noise, dust, etc. 
2. Frequently exposed to moderately adverse working conditions in performing certain at risk patient care activities. 
3. Some exposure to communicable disease with likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed.
4. Physical ability to work and stand frequently for extended periods of time and occasionally to lift and position patients.
