Position Summary
The Chief Ancillary Officer is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the ancillary activities of the hospital, especially those performed by the departments of laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, fitness center, dietary, environmental services, maintenance, and security. The Chief Ancillary Officer is designated as the Infection Control Officer and Safety Officer for the organization. The Chief Ancillary Officer works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other Administrative Staff members in assuming that policies and directives are implemented and maintained.
The Chief Ancillary Officer identifies and implements new programs and services to improve and enhance the quality and safety of services that all patients receive between the diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and nursing services of the hospital
Under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer the Chief Ancillary Officer is responsible for the administrative operation of Ancillary Services, the maintenance of all policies, procedures and quality control practices and the budget oversight of the assigned department’s budgets.
