As the BENEFITS MANAGER you will be responsible for administering, ensuring compliance and providing strategy for employee benefit programs. Position manages corporate benefit specialists, partners with employee health and is a key organizational culture steward who strives to provide solid internal customer service.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for development and goal setting for the department
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Design, evaluate, and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements
Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees by working with brokers and researching benefits issues.
Mediate between benefits providers and employees, such as by assisting in handling employees’ benefits-related questions or taking suggestions.
Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to management.
Manages a full suite of employee benefit programs such as, but not limited to group health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance and voluntary ancillary coverages.
Provides oversight and insures compliance for national retirement plans.
Provides oversight and insures compliance for employee leave program
Works with corporate benefits specialist to provide annual open enrollment for employee benefit packages nationally.
Provides oversight and strategic plan for national worker’s compensation programs, OSHA compliance and safety programs
Develops employee benefit communication program nationally
Assists VP of HR to partner with employee health program
Education and Experience:
Three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field
