Roppe Corporation Hiring for Truck Driver (CDL Class A) Job at Fostoria, OH Full Time

RHC Logistics, located in Fostoria, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Fleet CDL Class A Tractor Trailer Driver. Must have 50,000 of continuous safe driven miles; Valid Class A CDL drivers license; Must be able to pass background check together with drug screening.

Dedicated Weekly Routes – No touch pickup and delivery with an average of 2,500 miles per week at $0.53 per mile. 34 hour restart at home.

Additional benefits include: Company bonus available with additional Driver’s Safety Bonuses of up to 4 cents per mile. Health, dental, vision, 401(k), life, short term and long term disability provided with vacation and 10 paid holidays.

Job Summary:

This position will primarily consist of vehicle operations involving delivery of product and materials to our distribution network and/or customers. Drivers are expected to work with other employees of Warehouse operations in a respectful, quality driven, and prompt manner.

Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods to road and all DOT rules and regulations.
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting of regular goods and any hazardous goods.
• Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure.
• Maintain electronic logs of working hours or of vehicle service/repair status following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain all required certification required by DOT and OSHA and company safety.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pick operations and on-time delivery.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles. Taking trucks and trailers in for upgrades or maintenance.
• Perform any other functions related to the position, such as fueling the truck, sliding tandems, and drop and hook trailers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Valid CDL license required.
• 2+ years of recent continuous driving miles in a related field preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving required.
